Who am I?

Jonathan A. Ibanez was born and raised on the island of Maui, graduated from St. Anthony School and pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors in 2019. He pursued medical education at Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine in Southern California and graduated in 2023 with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Jonathan is currently undergoing post-graduate training as a resident at the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Loma Linda, California in the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. In his free time he enjoys reading, exercising, and going to the beach. He also enjoys working with the Filipino community and mentoring young leaders in the community.

What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is a branch of medicine focusing on conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Podiatrists are doctors who provide comprehensive care for a wide variety of conditions affecting the lower limbs. We treat conditions found in patients of all ages from plantar warts, ingrowing nails, heel pain, and other mobility issues. Podiatrists prescribe medications, perform surgeries, and are experts in fields such as limb salvage. You can find Podiatrists in clinics and hospitals all around the world and the field continues to grow every day.
